STAY IN THE HEART OF THE

Majestic Arts District

The Oldest Home in Hot Springs, Minutes from Bathhouse Row

Captain George Gray Latta built this house in 1874 for his bride, Fannie Brownlow, a governor's daughter who arrived to find a turret rising above the magnolias. A century and a half later, the house still keeps her secrets: hand-cut trim, wavy glass, and staircases worn smooth by six generations of hands.

More than a bed and breakfast, the Magnolia is a living piece of history being lovingly restored to the grandeur it always deserved. Some places carry a spirit. This is one of them.

HISTORIC LOCATION

The Oldest Home in Hot Springs

From its hill above Whittington Avenue, the Magnolia has watched Hot Springs grow up around it — the bathhouses, the racetrack, the travelers who came for the waters and stayed for the town. Bathhouse Row is minutes away. The veranda, a hundred and fifty years deep in stories, is right outside your door.

Guest parking is located behind 230 Whittington Ave, between the main mansion and the carriage house. Access the parking deck through the historic driveway beside the mansion. Additional spots are available behind the carriage house at 100 Pine Terrace.

How does check-in work?

Self check-in with a lockbox, so arrive on your own schedule. We're nearby and quick to respond if you need anything at all.

Is the house still under restoration?

Proudly, yes — the Magnolia is being restored season by season. Guest suites are complete, private, and quiet; any active work happens away from guest areas and never on your morning.

How far is Bathhouse Row?

About a five-minute walk. Guests regularly tell us they never touched their car for the whole trip.

Can we host a wedding or event here?

The wedding and event venue is part of the restoration now underway. We're already talking with couples about future dates.
